Do Not Track

We do not currently recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do Not Track signals.

Rights Regarding Your Information

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request that we provide you access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you, inform you about how we collect and use your information, correct inaccurate information, or delete certain information we hold about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sales and Sharing

If you are a resident of California and certain other jurisdictions, you may have the right to opt out of our sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising purposes. To opt out, email us at hello@makingitahome.com with the subject line “Sale/Sharing Opt Out” and include your name.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

Marketing Communications

Email: You may opt out of marketing emails using the “Unsubscribe” link in any such email. You may still receive administrative emails related to your account.

Text/SMS: To opt out of text-based marketing communications, reply “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE.”

Direct Mail: To opt out of direct mail, email us at hello@makingitahome.com with “NO SNAIL MAIL” in the subject line, including your name and mailing address.


Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. When those purposes have concluded, we will permanently delete, destroy, or anonymize the relevant information.


Security

We use reasonable efforts to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can improve your account security by using strong passwords, closing accounts after use on shared devices, and avoiding unsecured networks.

We are located and process your information in Nigeria and elsewhere. By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to us transferring and processing your information in Nigeria and anywhere else that we and our personnel, affiliates, or vendors are located.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that someone under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will use reasonable efforts to remove that information from our databases.
